Dr. Katharina Kruppa
Ashoka Fellow; Founder, Grow Together
Dr. Kruppa is a pediatrician and psychotherapist (systemic family therapy, specialized in infant-toddler-parent therapy for many years) and Founder and manager of the Baby Care Ambulance in the Preyer Children's Hospital in Vienna's 10th district. She is also the Project manager of the "Optimization of inpatient care for newborns from substance-dependent mothers (drug babies)" project, which received the Health Prize of the City of Vienna in 2Q10 and Innovation Prize of the KAV in 2011. Dr. Kruppa is the founder and director of the first Austrian course for infant and toddler parent psychotherapy (SKEPT) at the Sigmund Freud University. In Vienna Austria she is President of the GAIMH (Society for Mental Health in Early Childhood.
Ashoka Fellow; Founder and Managing Trustee, This Ability Trust
Lizzie Kiama is working to advance the rights of women and girls with disabilities in Kenya through sustainable business principles. She is founder and managing trustee of This Ability Trust, an organization which envisions a society in which women and girls with disabilities are respected and upheld, allowing them to live fully integrated lives politically, economically, and socially. Lizzie is advancing their rights while increasing their visibility through the lens of sexual reproductive health and economic empowerment using technology for data-rich, evidence-based policy advocacy. Lizzie believes that empowering them economically and financially will enable them to claim other subsequent rights like sexual and reproductive health.
Dr. Nneka Mobisson
Ashoka Fellow; CEO and Co-Founder, mDoc
Dr. L. Nneka Mobisson is co-founder and CEO of mDoc. Prior to mDoc, Dr. Mobisson was Executive Director, Africa at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) where she still serves as faculty advisor. A pediatrician, Dr. Mobisson was Vice President of Community Health and Population Health Management at Connecticut Hospital Association. At McKinsey & Company, she worked primarily on healthcare strategy. She has worked at World Bank, Merck and Co., and the CDC. Dr. Mobisson earned a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, MPH from Emory, MD/MBA from Yale and completed her Pediatrics residency at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She is an Ashoka and Making More Health Fellow, a Forbes Africa New Wealth Creator, a Cartier Awards Finalist, a WEF Young Global Leader, and a Yale Associate World Fellow.
Making More Health Global Community Manager, Ashoka: Innovators for the Public
Yeleka Barrett is the Global Lead for Ashoka's Health Initiative on Health Agency. She is also a senior partnership manager at Ashoka's Changemaker Companies and the global partnership manager for Making More Health, an Initiative between Ashoka and Boehringer Ingelheim. She has a track record of designing and implementing engagements between the corporate and social sectors, including acting strategic advisor for “Le bien vieillir ensemble” (Aging well together) partnership between Ashoka and KLESIA in France. She has a history of collaborating with social entrepreneurs working in various industries, with a specialty in Health.
Zeynep Meydanoglu Ertan
Next Now Gender Equity Field Lead, Ashoka: Innovators for the Public
Zeynep is a social intrapreneur and civil society leader with 15 years of experience at grassroots and global organizations in Turkey and the United States. She is currently Ashoka Next Now’s Global Gender Equity Field Lead and Board Member at Greenpeace Mediterranean. Her fields of passion include but are not limited to gender equity, climate justice, old and new ways of organizing; systems change journeys, wellbeing of changemakers. Zeynep has extensive experience in action-oriented research, advocacy for more enabling legal and fiscal infrastructures for civil society, fostering new funding models and funder relationships, network & community building, non-profit management. She holds a BA in Political Science and Cultural Studies from McGill University and a MA in Human Rights Law from Istanbul Bilgi University.
